Clearly, our designers thought outside the ordinary sedan box. Instead, they focused on the details and sculpted an athletic profile that is perpetually poised. Exterior mirrors flow purposefully from the doors. Lines convey power and agility. Incandescent tail lamps pick up those same lines and race you around the rear. It’s all meant to pull you inside where there are countless reasons to never get out.

Over 45 years ago, musclecars roamed the earth (although they certainly weren'tcalled musclecars way back when, but we digress). There were all sorts of different examples available in the Sixties-Cobra Jet Mustangs, GTA Fairlanes, Torino Cobras, and so on. But one particular version that walked softly and carried a large stick was the "sleeper.” It was a car with considerable grunt under the hood, but without much on the outside to advertise its presence. Externally, it was pretty much covered in a plain brown wrapper. Some really good examples of the breed include the 1966 Medium Riser 427 Fairlanes and even earlier 406 and 427 powered Galaxies. The only real giveaway was a small badge on the front fender. Back then, those seemingly basic vanilla cars ruled the roost.
